You don’t need to buy any new devices; your current smartphone or tablet can handle payments. This approach saves money and keeps things simple, reducing the equipment you need to manage.

No Monthly Fees

Xero’s Tap to Pay has no setup or monthly fees, and the per-transaction fees are kept competitive. This cost structure is particularly appealing for small businesses looking to minimize overhead while still offering convenient payment options.

Tap to Pay on Xero has no setup, sign-up, or monthly fees. A small transaction fee is applied: 1.7% + A$0.25 for domestic cards and 3.5% + A$0.25 for international cards.

Tap To Pay iPhone

Currently available on Android, Tap to Pay is also being developed for iPhone users. This update will make the service accessible to a wider audience, accommodating businesses that use iOS devices.

Enhanced Security and Compatibility

Tap to Pay supports payments made using physical cards, digital wallets, or wearable devices. For transactions over $100, a PIN verification feature will soon be available to enhance security.

Please note that currently, the service is isn’t currently available for users with multiple Stripe accounts connected to their organisation..

To begin using Tap to Pay, first download the Xero Accounting app on your mobile phone and link it to your Stripe account. Once set up, you can start receiving payments directly through your phone.
